My mum hates giving her first name at places like that. She says, “They don’t know me! Why are they asking for my first name!” and gets them to call her ‘Mrs. [Our Surname]’.
I told that to co-worker-Spidey and he said that it would be a toss-up next time he was at Boost or Starbucks or wherever on whether he’d get them to call him Spiderman or my mum’s name. We weren’t sure which would bring more lulz. Batman suggests a double-blind controlled trial is in order.

Call me nerdy but it makes ma all warm inside when people talk about double-blind controlled studies in casual conversations. Oh and Batman. That’s always a plus.
