I’ve been watching Twin Peaks today… finally, after many years (when it was first on TV my parents banned me from watching it since I was all of about 10).
Anyway, I was watching the dream sequence (which I’m sure I’ve seen taken off in something else?). I couldn’t watch the part in the red room where the midget guy (‘Little Man From Another Place’?) ‘twitches’ like that.
I think, of all the visual effects used in horror movies, that one frightens me the most. Sadako-style.
I’ve used it myself, too. Albeit verbally and badly in EtA?.
It still scares the shit through me.
Actually, while I’m thinking about it… a lot of people have J-names in Twin Peaks. Reminds me of my V:tM chrnonicle…

Oh my god brilliance!
Ah, Twin Peaks is glorious and even more glorious! Sadako certainly had the backwards thing down for scariness factor, but I think David Lynch is still almost unsurpassed in the extensive use and creativity of the style… brilliance brilliance. Damn good coffee! -
Brilliance? Maybe. Probably not.
Too often people see something that doesn’t make sense and call it brilliance.
Interesting? More likely…

Har har!
Too often, I agree.
But try telling David Lynch that his work does not make sense and he probably won’t understand what you mean.
