Well, you may <a href=”archive.php?postID=300”>remember from last time</a> that my roof has a slight leaking problem which causes my floor/bed to flood every time it rains; which it does a lot of down here. Well, the staff here at CofE <i>told</i> me they fixed it (finally, after nearly two weeks), but apparently they did a shit job of it because – while it held up through the various small squalls we’ve had, as soon as we got a day-long pissing-down storm (like we did yeaterday), it leaked again – and this time worse than before. Anyway, because I noticed this leak earlier in the evening (9:00 instead of 12:00), the office was still open and Julie called up the RE (after I’d had a my-day-sucks-burst-into-tears fit) so we all toddled down to the office to complain. The Office Ladies wouldn’t let me sleep on the wet floor of a room filled with power cables, so I was moved into Room 100 for the night. Now, Room 100 is essentially a self-contained flat which is usually rented out to the Resident Life Co-ordinators (whoever <i>they</i> are; some member of staff or other). So I had a kitchen, laundry I didn’t have to pay for (I washed and dried my sheets, and would’ve done the rest of my clothes ‘cept it’s still sort of threatening rain down here), my own bathroom and a great big double bed. Seema was imprseed with my couch and ensconsed herself on it while I explained all the political jokes in <i>Backburner</i>. So, not such a bad end to a pretty damn shitty day, I guess. <br /> <br /> Now all I need to do is pursuade the office to let me live there permanently…
