Holy fucking Christ it was cold today. I don’t think it got over 2 degrees the entire day (it’s currently -2 according to Ff) which I know is pittance in the northern hemisphere but for Canberra in June that’s madness. It doesn’t help that I work in the coldest valley in the city, so this morning I was of the opinion ‘fuckit’ and foreswore my suit and shirt for jeans and a jumper. Which turned into an A+ move since the office was fucking freezing (13 degrees). A complaint got put in to Property, and they turned the thermostat up a little, but I still spent the vast majority of the day in my coat and – after lunch at least – big Slytherin scarf.
Getting out of bed in this weather is a bit of a trial, let me tell you…

I hate those sort of days. Still, you get no sympathy from me – here in Blighty it’s supposed to be summer. It’s supposed to be shiny and lovely. And is it heck. We’ve had unrelenting rain and gale-force winds this past week. Now what’s that all about? Hope your place warms up soon!
