Hooray! I found my missing sketch book today. Like a lot of things I “lose”, it was in exactly the place that – when I found it – I remembered putting it ages ago. Phew. I wasn’t so much overjoyed to find the book because of the pictures in it (there were a few scribbles worth keeping, but not many since it had been a book for Actual Art), but because I’d written in it the name of a composer who’s set of songs I’d heard on MusicMax a while ago. I had no idea what the songs were called, or what album they were from, but I really liked them. I’d managed to catch what I thought was the composer’s name (it was) for future reference… then I’d lost the damn book. Anyway, I found it again today and turns out the guy I was after was Joe Jackson, with songs from his “Heaven and Hell” album. Hooray! Things are looking up.
