I’m feeling so… motivated to fix SK now for some bizarre, unknown reason (read: procrastination from schoolwork). Here’s the to-do list:

I’m halfway through colouring a pic of Elle to use, and I’m getting better at airbrushing three dimensions into things. Expect something looking like the skin below… only blue (perhaps).

<li><b>Clean Up The Insides</b>

I’ve got a better way of doing things like the preferences and includes. Not very exciting, but essential.

<li><b>Updates to the SynkLog</b>
<br />
Private posts (running off the clique system) which will hopefully circumvent the… incident which made me take everything down in the first place. Edit/delete functionality to the posts and comments (I get sick of doing editing raw into the db… bleergh). Slicker way of printing the posts – the loops controlling it at the moment are… not nice (thanks <a href=”links.php?linkid=2”>Michel</a> for showing me how). Maybe even (dare I say it?) <i>archives</i>. They may even be… <i>serchable</i> (though I wouldn’t wanna overshoot myself too much). Easier cross-site integration; yes, one day you too may be able to power your weblog off SK… now wouldn’t that be scary?

<li><b>Finish SynkBB</b>

Add edit/delete posts, plus admin features (again with the cliques). Finally allow multiple pages of posts. Depending on how the archive search goes, I’ll probably wind up adding <i>some</i> searching to the boards too.

<li><b>User Stuff</b>

Make some extra additions to <tt>profile.php</tt> so it displays the cliques a user belongs to. Plus take it out of popup windows because it’s just getting too full of stuff. Add user managment features (rah rah cliques) so it’s easier for admins to edit (and punish) folks.

<li><b>Fix the Tracker</b>

Damn but I’ve been meaning to do that for <a>aaaaagees</a>. Now that i actually read about
PHP session ID’s, I can stop having to rely on IP addresses which is mondo unreliable. Also add a web interface to the stats (public? maybe) so I can actually check them from school (long story, maybe I’ll whinge about it later).

<li><b>Add extra features</b>

Stuff like FAQs (so I can finally explain what karma is) and various other “documenty” type thing so I can begin throwing up stories and character bios. Plus an image database so I can put up some of my newer artwork (and some of the old stuff <i>::shudder::</i>
, and a files database for all the junk I try my hand at like skinning things and making fonts; download stats are a must. Maybe I’ll even get around to trialing the webring feature (either as part of the cliques or otherwise), and see if that is going to be as easy as I think it is…

<li><b>Finally…</b>

When all is said and done, package everything up and release it on the world (mwahahaha). Lastly, add skinning ability to the site. Obviously I’m <i>not</i> going to add this until <i>everything</i> is more-or-less complete or there are going to be… problems. But it certainly is on the agenda.
