I seem to be practically the only person thus far that seems to like the new dA. Go figure.

Reasons dA v3 is Cool, Yo
1. The ability to change skins. Especially for the ‘minimal’ skin – the one with almost no images. Can you all say no more crappy lag waiting for those ten zillion layout images to load…
2. The submit function. Believe it or not, I like that they’ve spread it out over several pages. Plus the new option for ‘mature content’ looks promising…
3. The ratings re-think. Gone seem to be the days of “LOVES the Deviant!” and “Dislike Deviation”. Instead it’s people’s comments getting rated on a scale of 1 to 5. Working with the filtering system, this means you can filter out troll comments (sure, maybe not so fun, but cool all the same).
4. Being able to turn off sigs and avatars. I hate long, image-filled sigs anywhere, and some of the ones on dA had been getting really bad lately. Honestly, people, stick that crap in your journal so I don’t have to look at it (turning off sigs was the first thing I did).
5. Threaded comments.
6. General ‘clean up’ of features. Things like not being able to fav your own works and the use of folders for devNotes. Little things like that.
7. The almost total URL conversion. Most things before had subfolders instead of pages. Now everything seems to (even the folders in devNotes).
8. Being able to edit old journal entries.

There’s probably more, but that’s a good start, I think.
