I’ve decided I loathe the new trend towards making big single-image background pictures for website than banging content in floating DIVs over the top. Almost as much as I loathe the same effect (or any effect) done with iFrames (for starters they have iCapitalisation and are thus obviously in some way associated with Apple).
It’s lazy.
Learn to slice, people. It’s not hard…

i think they can look good, if done correctly. sometimes they tend to look too busy because people figure they can make the bg however they want and plonk text right over it. doesn’t work that way unfortunately.

You try using Mozilla; it never looks right because people code for IE, and IE impliments the DIV standards wrong, so pages that do this invariably have the text all squashed up into one corner or something. Other times they don’t scroll, or even show up altogether.

It maybe be possible to make them look good, but the fact still remains it’s lazy coding.
