So FilePlanet has been overwhelmed by subscriptions to the World of Warcraft stress test (more people signed up than they had keys to give out), which is nice since hopefully it means it’ll open soon and I’ll get to muck about in the character creation window for a week (if not actually play). That is, assuming they haven’t blocked all non-North American IP addresses from the servers after all the bitching a few European BNet kiddies did in the forums (gee, anyone might think they weren’t getting their own Beta later on this year). Ah well, in that case ~Random [h] gets a free key.

The waiting was driving everybody stir-crazy, so I jumped onto another MMORG open beta in the interim; Saga of Ryzom. It’s… cute and kinda award. I only managed to play for a few minutes this morning until the server hung (no stress test, go figure). The game is really pretty, but the interface honestly sucks. Plus it uses mouse/arrowkeys instead of mouse/WASD like everything else; something that can’t be changed because the WASD keys all correspond to various menu windows. Mouse/arrows is arse. Can’t really comment on the gameplay since I’m still in the “hey n00b, talk to these guys who’ll tell you how to play” quest. But yeah; Ryzom, it’s free, it passes the time until WoW, can’t be bad.

My Ragnarok Online subscription lapsed. I can’t bring myself to care.

Talked to ~pushtyber [h] for the first time in a long time today. Apparently people ‘bin talkin’ ‘bout me yo. Or skullkitty, at any rate. Ah, those were the days. But you know what they say; only forward.

The “Safety Dance” is my new favourite song, and I need to get dressed for uni. Aah, but Yu-Gi-Oh, my new secret morning pleasure! I go hide inna hole now…
