Look, it’s a list of the 100 most challenged books (ie. challenged as in legally, not mentally). Here we’ve got a whole bunch of the Usual Suspects; everything from Heather has Two Mommies to Harry Potter to American Psycho. But there, lo, look! At number 29, right under The New Joy of Gay Sex, the Anastasia Krupnik series by Lois Lowry. And I’m like, what the fuck? I used to read those books when I was a little girl. Whoever decided that book should be banned was obviously soft in the head…- « Previous
